Head to the top of the world (okay, that’s a slight exaggeration) or at least to the tallest point in the City of London and view our capital from the highest observation deck in the United Kingdom – the glittering Shard. This impressive building measures a full 800 feet from street level, and once at the top, offers 360 degree views spanning 40 miles on a clear day. After this journey to the skies (or before, depending on your booking), back on the ground enjoy a two-course lunch from the set menu at Strada, a tasty local Italian restaurant just a short walk from The Shard. The lively atmosphere helps make it a great place to dine and is a total contrast to being up in the clouds.
